Postby boxythingy » Tue Dec 22, 2015 6:40 pm

Similar shaped screens appear on Sydney Buses, but these are more useful. The only criticism I have for these is the off the shelf text to speech software for the Digital Voice Announcements, and most of the time are barely audible:
Australia brags about its political system, but their PM says one thing during the election; something else when (s)he takes office, something else at midterm and something else when (s)he leaves.

whether they're audible or not largely depends on the driver, who could turn the volume down

The CCTV screens in Sydney buses could be put to better use with more trip info like this, rather than just mug shots of the passengers.

No, they can't. Volume level is fixed.
