SPIN - Canberra's weekend on wheels - October

Postby Sir Pompously » Fri Sep 20, 2013 12:23 pm

Hi all,

The ACT Government together with the NRMA are putting on a transportation related display here in Canberra between the 18-20th October. A complete PDF of events throughout October, these include displays, performances, festivals, rallys and competition events (like BMX, skateboarding, roller derbys, motorsports etc). This can be found at : http://canberra100.com.au/storage/SPIN_Program_web.pdf

Of interest would be:

Spin Saturday - 19th October 12-17:00 - Various cars on display as well as displays from the NRMA and the Canberra Institute of Technology (TAFE elsewhere). ACTION's AEC Regal III will also be on display. Night events also take place after the family display finishes at 17:00. This event is free and free buses will be operating to and from this event.

Hub Capital Kingston - 19-20 October - Heritage train journey from Canberra to Tarago to meet up with the Centenary of Canberra Rally, lunch at Bungendore before returning to Canberra (Saturday only). All weekend the Canberra Railway Museum will have various displays including miniature train displays and rides, diesel hauled train rides to Fyshwick from the museum site and of course the Beyer-Garrett, 6029. Canberra Brass Inc. will be performing on Sunday only. A fee applies to enter this event.

If anything is of interest feel free to come on down and help celebrate Canberra's centenary!
