Route 7

Saw quite a few Route 7s using Cooyong Street to access City Interchange rather than Akuna Street. Is there a change, or is there roadwork on Akuna Street?

Route 7

There are numerous reasons as to why drivers are not using Akuna Street on their Route 7's. These can range from needing to access Platform 9 for their next run to being use to using Cooyong Street for the Route 2 to even being confused with the Network 2012 proposal & implementing it now.

But the new "Manhattan" apartments on Akuna Street might be causing some traffic issues as well.

So they just don't care about customers going to Akuna Street or London Circuit? How many Route 9's would use Cooyong instead of Akuna?

A quick "Where are you off to mate?" fixes that issue

What time was this? I ask as there were reports of an accident near the intersection of Cooyong Street & Ainslie Avenue. So for buses to access Ainslie Avenue they may of been forced to use Cooyong Street. Anyway due to a few temporary changes within City Bus Station, expect more 7's to use Cooyong Street from Monday. More information can be found at https://www.action.act.gov.au/news/stat ... tions.html or here is a quote of a post I made on ACT Bus:

Well now the work has spread in the City Bus Station to once again spruce up the City Bus Station, will we see new bus shelters? Who knows.....

Anyway work on the City Bus Station will begin on Monday (14/11/11) with Platform 5 moving to behind Platform 3. So more confusing then when Platform 3 became Platform 5 which in return became Platform 3 during the time when Platform 3 was extended so that Belconnen Blue Rapids had more stopping room.

A pretty map has been done up to show whats the go & can be found at https://www.action.act.gov.au/Routes_10 ... %20Map.pdf

More (possibly less confusing) information can be found at https://www.action.act.gov.au/news/stat ... tions.html
