A2 Airliner - Woden to Airport has begun

Post by Sir Pompously »

The A2 Airliner from Woden to the Airport via Parliament House began this morning with a fantastic load.... of just me. Another passenger was infront of me, but he was not able to get a free ride from Woden with his BBP pass like he could've from civic, so he went to the City instead and caught an airliner from there. So I was officially the first Passenger to ride on the A2 service. Passed the other service who had no one (He had radioed at Parliament House to ask about the loads, and he was shocked that my driver had 1 person onboard!) on it, and my service when it returned to Woden left with no one on it. Not fantastic marketing by DBL about the service though, but I would say if they ran the bus via Brand Depot they would get more peeps onboard.

Sorry again I couldnt make it due to my, ten-minutes-before-the-bus-came-sickness which was insipidly annoying!

But it looks more expensive than the city service, im guessing its not $7 each way or $12 return, but it is more sections i suppose.

im sure theres something in NSW, like some board who decides the fares for all NSW operaters, however as you said this service is entirely within the ACT which i think has fares decided by a different department and im not sure how they go about private operaters

I do believe that the an Independent Pricing Commision has to agree to any price rises.

Ends at the Aiport, there is a connection to Brand Depot from Brindabella Business Park (It says the time is listed, but it is not).

Can anyone tell me if this service still operates?

It's just that I'll be flying in Canberra in a couple of weeks and a bus to Woden Interchange is just what I need!

Virtually all references to the A2 have vanished, but no one is saying its been cancelled either.
