Do you usually park your own trailer to get the 45XP bonus, or do you just press enter when you arrive in a yard to let the truck park itself?

I usually park the trailer, but if it is a small area I will just skip it.

I use a Logitech Driving Force GT I got from EB Games for $120. Great value for money, as you get 900 degree rotation, 20 or so buttons on the steering wheel, and a sequential shifter. More buttons than the G27, which is a good $200 more.

The keyboard is ok, but not very precise and by using a wheel you can balance your acceleration.

It seems like its part of the run to me, a bit like landing after a long flight on FSX. That's where I get the satisfaction of a job done.

I can't imagine driving head first into a Linfox depot and saying nah mate, I'm not going to back onto the dock, someone else has to do it. Actually, maybe I can...

http://www.youtube.com/user/DaSquirrelsNuts/videos If you watch some of the later videos made by this guy (the "live stream" videos), he uses the G27 with H-shifter, clutch etc. Long videos, and you might get sick of listening to him talk, but I like watching them.

The G27 has a proper H shift gearstick and a clutch pedal, it also looks less like a toy.

This is my Iveco Stralis Hi-Way 560hp, extremely lit with 21 (yes, 21) spotlights. I have it speed limited at 90kph so I haven't done to much speed driving yet. My drivers have the basic Volvo 540hp truck.

Sorry for the extremely crap picture, I can only use a iPod or a iPad since my computer is a bit stupid at the moment.

I love squirrels videos. The live streams can be long, but he usually uses map mods, so it's kind of a mod showcase that goes for about 2 hours.

The G27 is definitely better, with the H shifter and leather etc. But the DFGT is great if your on a budget.

I'm changing my company, (Dan Logistics Co.) to Volvo's. Scanias are good but the FH16 has a more powerful engine.

SCS has started to model the new FH series Volvo. http://blog.scssoft.com/2013/08/the-new ... -news.html

Squirrel noted in another one of his videos that the power of the engine actually doesn't make much (if any) difference to how much the hired drivers earn per job. I'm using base model Volvos myself, because the base models of all brands are basically the same price. If you want to be really tight with trucks for the new drivers, you may be able to remove the sun visor, side mirrors, and change the paint to a cheaper colour.

I have watched a few of squirrel's videos too - they are good to get an idea of the game play and what not. he must have a good graphics card as his movement is very smooth. my only grip is that he drops the occasional swear word which pricks up the ears of my wife when me and my two yr old son are watching together!

I downloaded the trial version and my computer shat itself a bit sadly. It's also very difficult to play with keyboard only :(.

Love the 3 axle mod you have there! But I'm not to keen on the 1028hp engine, I like to keep my game as realistic as possible. :)

andrew28121990, have you gone into the control section and disabled the speed limiter? I'm pretty sure 55mph/90kph is the speed limiter.
My new ride (It seems like I can't keep the same truck longer than a week...) is a Majestic Across 598hp, and it flies with the speed limiter off.
So far I've had everything except the Renaults.

What graphics setting is that, Off The Rails? It looks kinda low. (Judging by my game, which is on high.)

I recently got a new computer a HP Compaq, I had to download the demo version a week ago, so far it's going great I used to have a Asus Eee Machine netbook PC and when I had Euro Truck it used to glitch all the time and it was so crap and slow! Now I have it on my new one, I started off with the new Iveco Stralis Hi-Way... Then I bought a Scania Topline and I have been trying the MAN TGX..
IMPO. (My personal opinion) I love the Hi-Way especially the dash set-up b

That would run it quite well, even my laptop is nowhere near those specs and it works fine.

I think specifications are typically more important than brand, though it is a good idea to avoid brands which have a reputation for being unreliable...
