PC Game - Cities In Motion 2

Post by Gusbus »

A new game has come out recently which is a sequel to an already fantastic game, Cities In Motion. In the game you design, build and operate a public transport company, from creating bus routes to building subway lines, in many different cities (fictional and based on real cities).
The game developers came out with a much updated new release adding much needed flexibility to the game, awesome graphics and making the game way more complicated, for example adding dynamic suburbs, bus/tram/ferry/metro/trolleybus depots and route/line timetables that you have total control over, even editing the fares for each mode and in each ticketing zone.
I know I've spent many hours playing this game. Check it out.

Great game. I've already sunk a fair few hours into it.
Here are some introductory videos I've put together.

Unlike Australia, thankfully Cims are fine with sacrifices for progress.

We need a type of a government which can go like "f**k you" to the nimby's. One of QLD premier in history almost had that kind of attitude once... Kinda explained for the lack of heritage sites in Brisbane

There is an addon/DLC coming out on Thursday called bus mania. Has 5 buses in it, one of which is a bustech VST (named comet sun in the game) looks pretty good.

It's part of this DLC: http://store.steampowered.com/app/22542 ... 1_5_9__405

For $5, I thought it reasonable.

CIM 2 has just released a model of the Sydney Opera House. It's a free add-on and one of those landmarks which performs like a passenger generator for the services which operate near by.

I can see that three of the buses in the addon pack are meant to resemble a MAN ND202, a Bustech VST/XDi, and an Optare Solo, but what are the other two meant to resemble?

Thanks,

Noticed Sydney North Shore and Auckland now available on Steam. Sydney looks like a WIP but both are good maps.

Really annoyed with CIM2.

Game is so slow and keeps crashing on me.

Does not run as smoothly as Traffic Giant or Sid Meiers's Railroads.

Shame - it looked to have great potential :(

Have you checked that your computer has a good enough graphics card?

It isn't the game's fault that you've got an outdated or slow computer. The traffic simulation (which is excellent) needs quite a recent CPU to run properly.
