Heading to Bunbury

Post by adx666 »

Hi all (few?)

I am heading down to Bunbury with my sons in early July and wondered if anyone can tell me the best place/s to see and photograph the buses down there.

Any advice appreciated as I have never bothered to do this before!

The old Bunbury Railway station would be a good start point - gives you plenty of bus/coach photo ppporunities and is also a good historical interest. The Swan Tansit depot bacKs onto the bypass in East Bunbury and will give you a good indication of what’s around.

Also Busselton is good for several buses and south west coachlines.

Have fun

Mr. 666, good to see you're still active!

If you've been to bunno before, not much has changed in the way of gunzel vantage points (ie Central Bus Station). If not, we can point you in the right direction
If it's not a ZF, take it back!

I haven't been down there since 2015 but would recommend Bunbury Bus station on Blair St (next to the visitor centre) as that's where all the services in the region run to/from. The other place would be Bunbury Health Campus on Bussell Hwy as that is a terminus for a number of services.

Whilst I've visited Bunbury (for a day-trip using the Australind!), I didn't take any photographs.
Could be useful to find out any historic buildings of interest, use Google Maps to guess where the sun will be and make a plan of some locations from that?
