Does anyone know of anyone in Aus who still stocks, or can get hold of parts for old Bedfords?? Starting to get into our old YRT3 and do a few tidy up jobs, and there's a few bits I'm chasing (Gear linkage uni's and output shaft oil seal) and haven't been able so far to come up with too much.
Anyone else out there playing round with these old girls who may know where to turn, any info would be appreciated
Cheers :D

ACW Spares in Melbourne have some Beddie parts or can steer you in the right direction.

I'm sure a google search will bring up other sources, also try eBay.

I've flicked them guys an email, also done a fair bit of ebay trawling but to no avail, but hopefully ACW may come up with something.

Otherwise I'll have to pullt the shaft out and try to measure up something that will work, although I have shifting gears in it down to a fine art now, it's loose as and it would be a lot nicer to tidy up!

The gear box is probably made by Turner, so would be common to a few makes of that era. Take the old seal to a bearing shop, eg CBC, and they should be able to match it. Industry standard, not beddie specific. Same with the uni's.

Don kyatts

And there was mcbride wholesale truck parts

Also dick crow at Sydney coach lines would have a few bits.

The gearbox factory used to repair a lot of worn shafts and such.

Truck transmissions might also be worth a try

Excellent, a few more contacts, I tried ACW, who put me onto a lad in Melbourne who hasn't got anything, but had some good advice on parts (Should cross to be the same as a roadranger as possibly an Eaton box)
I don't have anything to do with the 0303, or any of the coaches any more, my role at work changed, and so did my roster, from 4 on 4 off to Mon-Fri, so my 4 days off part time coach driving gig fell over, I've still got my Drivers Authority current should things change, but not much opportunity around here to scratch the driving itch sadly.
Although speaking to one of my contractors at work who does all their maintenance, the 0303 has just had the gearbox rebuilt, after doing an oil change and found a roller out of a bearing in the oil...
