Re: Network Co-Ordination Officer Brisbane Transport
Going by the advert it is a "mobile" position, more like an STA Inspector.C736 wrote:http://www.seek.com.au/job/network-coor ... 1400/47/1/

Doesn't BCC have an internal development system to train existing staff into such roles, as the STA does.provide on road support to customers at bus stations and as a mobile response unit.

Boronia - in the position description
As for your other yes they do also promote from within but at times they also do advertise externally for some positions.NCC officers are responsible for the operation of the Network Co-ordination Centre radio consoles, mobile duties and the supervision of BCC bus services in the Queen St Bus Station. They are required to operate varied equipment and systems such as two-way radio network and they have access to other sophisticated systems to monitor the network.

I take this as being an overview of the NCC section, rather than being specific to the positions advertised.C736 wrote:Boronia - in the position description

I work there as a driver - the officers do all roles (3) as per the position discription.
