Hi,
I've been looking at an old QOCS newsletter (Issue 69 of March 2003) and trying to do some research on former Brisbane Panthers, using the http://www.brisbanetransport.info website for additional information. The newsletter shows Brisbane # 685 (910 ATF, ex-PLW 975), chassis number 804956 and Denning bodywork, as being cut up for spares and the remains sold to Simsmetal. However, the Brisbane website shows 685 as passing to Awon as their # 7. The Bus Australia historic list for Awon shows # 7 as ex-(685) 910 ATF, (452) PKB 532, chassis number 800243 and Athol Hedges bodywork. Going back to the Brisbane website, # 452 is shown as being renumbered to # 685 and having its rego changed to 910 ATF, in October 1989, while the details for # 685 show it as becoming 910 ATF in January 1990.
The details in the Awon historical list seem to be correct for former BCC # 452, i.e. chassis number 800243 and Athol Hedges bodywork. So, did the original # 685 ever get new rego 910 ATF, or was # 452 renumbered to 685 and given a new rego at the same time - and, if so, what did happen to the original # 685?
