Hi to all.
Anyone out there know anything regarding the engine cooling pipework on a MAN Sl200 bus? Am looking for a schematic or pictures/photos of pipework and non return valves on the D2566 motor cooling system.
I removed the pipework from the engine which fed the front heater unit therefore reducing the pipework by a considerable amount and I am wondering if this would have any effect on the overall cooling on the engine.
I moved the bus a while back and besides not changing gear (seems to be in limp mode)it overheated .
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks
Rob

Re: engine cooling system SL200
Removing or blocking the pipes to the front will only stop your heater/demister, it should have no effect on the rest of the system. You may have an issue with your thermostat, which in MAN is a sealed unit (generally two hoses one end, large round ball looking bit then one hose back out). I have seen them fail pretty much overnight
