131 500 is NSW Transport, their phone number is ironically 131 500.

In Queensland you will need to contact Translink (http://www.translink.com.au/contactus.php)

Will The 131500 Number still work in queensland :?:

. As for translink you need to call 07 3215 5000 if out side of qld

A lot of 13 and 1300 numbers can't be called from interstate, or over a certain distance. The "owner" of the number can set parameters.

A few years back I couldn't call the Qld infoline from Sydney.

Same as 1800 numbers, I one tried to book the dial a ride bus service in Murray Bridge (SA) from Adelaide (90km away) using my mobile and couldnt call the number.
You got a real flash bus, but my one's flash one, eh

And in fact, just looking at the links posted here, 13 12 30 is listed on both sites as different services, so chances are if someone were ringing translink from NSW they would get 13 15 00's interpreter service....(Or perhaps Banana Benders speak another language....)
