wanting advice to make sure I don’t get ripped off

Post by Gregg »

Hi everyone was hoping a few people might be able to give me a rough price on what a clutch would cost to fit in my Bedford blp 1978 Bus. I have found someone that can supply me with a clutch kit for $750 . However I’m taking to my local truck mechanic and have no idea how long it takes or what a rough price is. Hopping someone can help so I know not getting taken for a ride
Thanks in advance everyone

Suggest you get a quote from your mechanic and people here could comment on whether it is reasonable. Labour is a big factor, and this depends a lot on how accessible the gearbox is.

Alternatively get a couple of quotes from elsewhere and compare.
