BCU's

Post by Skexis »

What happens when someone swipes a metrocard before a route has been entered? Does it just show the card balance?

Exactly the same as if a trip was entered - the passenger won't notice anything different on the validator. If you were to log in to the metroCARD site and check your validation history, I'm not sure what it would show in that case.

If no trip was entered though it shouldn't deduct a fare, I think. Wondering if this in in fact the case.

Edit:

Do we have any red buses?

Red Lane - not red bus.

And a question - what does BCU's in the heading refer to?

Bus Control Unit, an Adelaide terminology used to describe the driver's ticket sales console.
