Trolley bus history in Adelaide

Postby jibb » Mon May 29, 2017 5:25 pm

Interesting article in today's Adevertiser/Adelaide Now with quite a few good black and white photos of Adelaide's Double-deck and Single deck trolley buses in the 1940's and 1950's. In the mid 50's we had a fleet of 91 single and double deck trolley buses running between Port Adelaide,Semaphore Largs,City, Burnside,Marryatville,Tusmore,Beaumont,Glenside and Linden Park that were operated by Hackney and Port Depots.

Unfortunately, it's only for subscribers. Would have been good to read. :(

With these subscriber only articles, you can usually bypass the bar by searching the headline text in Google, and it will give you a link to open it. I'm reading it now.

That worked for me. I wonder how long this method will actually work for though?

You will probably only be to do this once, if you try a second time you might not get in.
