Bus stop idiocy

Postby Skexis » Tue May 09, 2017 6:46 pm

Here we have a bus stop quite close to the road so what happens? Some idiot decides it would be a good idea to attach a Hazard sign to the post. This sign sticks out more than the stop itself and has thereby become even more of a hazard that would originally have been the case. Where do they get these people from I wonder. Pretty sure no issues existed when the 733 and 734 stops were their own entities rather than the current, rather nonsensical arrangement.

I reckon that nearside mirror on 2452 is just about the right height for that.

That is quite logical, you extend the sign past the actual hazard, so that if a driver did get too close he would only hit that sign, not the hazard.

The mirror on that bus looks much lower than the sign, so chances of hitting it would be slim. But even with the sign out that far, the mirror could still hit the post.
