Re: [May/June 2017] SA Transport observations
I heard from a driver that 428 was built in May 1992, not the date listed in the fleet lists. So this is why I asked about it. The fleet lists aren't 100% accurate.

Drivers aren't always accurate either with regards to info.TA3001 wrote:I heard from a driver that 428 was built in May 1992, not the date listed in the fleet lists. So this is why I asked about it. The fleet lists aren't 100% accurate.

I was lucky enough to ride the Zone Cruiser today on a 734. I was sitting at the back and I noticed quite an evident rattle coming from the engine, not sure if it has been like this for a while?

It's been more than six months since the last time I caught 2801, but it sounded fine back then. It must be a relatively recent problem.mmosca447 wrote:I was lucky enough to ride the Zone Cruiser today on a 734. TransitTimes doesn't appear to be working for certain routes. Most runs are showing up normally, but J1s and 167s don't have any real-time info available.

No info on Glenelg tram services due to Jetty Road closure and trams terminating at stop 15(Brighton Road).

Re: [May/June 2017] SA Transport observations
168s aren't showing up either, so it sounds like the real-time data was updated to reflect the temporary changes to routes that normally service Jetty Road while TransitTimes hasn't been updated. I just checked, and it hasn't been updated for almost two months now. It's strange that 167Cs and inbound 167s from Camden Park also aren't appearing on TransitTimes, though.

An as yet unidentified Torrens Newton gas NL202 is in a new AOA celebrating Norwood FC's women's team's recent premiership win. Does anyone who's seen it recently know the fleet number?

Re: [May/June 2017] SA Transport observations
1925 is hard to identify using it's number, as it's barely visible. I couldn't find it on the sides or the back. I had to check the rego on the fleet lists to identify it.
I'm not aware of any reason why Torrens would want to hide the visual numbers like Southlink do on the inside, as Transit Times gives it away anyhow most of the time.
In my opinion, the vehicle shouldn't be allowed out on the road if the fleet number is not clearly visible on all sides. At least 443 can be easily identified.

From August this year 206s and 208s will no longer have to wait too long to come out of Galway Avenue onto Regency Road because traffic signals will be installed.
Next station is Victoria Square. Change here for all trains.

One bad intersection down, plenty more that need some form of effective traffic control to help buses keep on time. Corner Sixth Ave and Stephens Tce, St. Peters springs to mind here although I could reel off many others.Eurostar wrote:From August this year 206s and 208s will no longer have to wait too long to come out of Galway Avenue onto Regency Road because traffic signals will be installed.

A serious accident involving a Southlink bus and a semi trailer occurred around 800 o'clock last night at around stop 20 Main North Road at Blair Athol. One passenger sustained minor injuries and was admitted to hospital. The bus suffered significant damage.

Out of curiosity, which bus was it? Does anyone know?
Re: [May/June 2017] SA Transport observations
The rego puts it as bus 2558.

New Scania 1955 (rego SB27MU) now at Port. Another SL202 will be off to the graveyard, guessing 425 or 426 going by their build dates.

Wouldn't 426 be retired before 428?TT wrote:New Scania 1955 (rego SB27MU) now at Port. Another SL202 will be off to the graveyard, guessing 425 or 428 going by their build dates.
