It is supposed to be on loan to a country operator http://fleetlists.busaustralia.com/indb ... ype=WJM991
But that was over three years ago.

Indeed, 1711 along with 1 or 2 other 11.190's are meant to be on loan out in country towns some place.

Yep, 1714 is one of the others. Not sure of its whereabouts though, it may be Mt Gambier? 1711, 1712 and 1714 are the 3 that are reportedly at country operators :)

1711 has been at Pt. Pirie for over the last ten years and is a regular performer on the local town service. 1712 and 1714 are both at Mt. Gambier. Although originally intended for the local town service, a couple of Irisbuses are generally found on the town service and the 11.190's on school runs. 1701 was located at Murray Bridge for a while but was ultimately returned to Adelaide about the same time when the local bus service turned into a dial-a-ride arrangement.

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned what looks to be a Volvo B58 hiding behind 1711.
Thanks for that confirmation. Wonder how much longer they'll remain in service out in the country...

In regards to the Volvo, I believe a certain someone beat you to it just. ;) And, anyone know what those two(?) yellow looking buses in the background would be?

I guess that sort of thing can occur when using a mobile to have a quick squiz at the forum.

I suspect that they are probably school buses, possibly EDSA. It's been some time since I've been to Pirie.

A slightly different angle shows the Volvo a little better. I was only really looking at 1711 so didn't pay too much attention to what else was there. The two yellow ones at the back of the first pic were school buses but I couldn't have got a shot of those anyway. The yard is in Esmond Rd if anyone is interested and heading that way

The company is called Spencer Gulf Coaches. Very accommodating if anyone goes in and asks first to take photos etc. Used to have a fair few EDSA Hinos as well as an assortment of other buses either in pieces or in running order, few very old Dennings, few ex Tasmanian Scanias as well.

I remember spotting a couple of old Adelaide Metro buses in Port Germain and Iron Knob on a ride to Whyalla. I think it was march or april 2015.
