Why does it have to perform at 100km/h? I can't think of any times it would need to travel at 100km/h? Repositioning at Glen Osmond will probably see the bus only do 60-80km/h going uphill and a max. of 60km/h coming downhill.

If it was with SouthLink at Lonsdale Depot, it would be going 100 kph on the Southern Expressway. It's probably more suitable for the Southern Expressway than all the Scanias that have a max speed of 85 kph.

I'm referring to 422's better days when it was at St Agnes doing O'bahn runs obviously, at 100kph unlike those with the 3 speed Voiths.

I'd be ok with catching it on a quiet T840, but there's more chance of 421 returning as a rail sub vehicle than this occurring.....,

426 is still in service. I'm doing a shift in it right now. If you want to check out what comes up on transit times check out the 147 from Dashwood road at 1651 or the 155 from the city at 1718. Will be interesting!

Just seen the 440 on the 333

Are you sure? 440 hasn't been at Port depot now for at least 2 weeks, and I believe had all its gear (BCU, validator etc) removed, then parked on the dead track. Then went. So would be surprised if it was back in service from another Torrens depot!

426 is showing up on that run. So does that mean there are two BCUs wit 426 programmed in?

If 426 is still in service, 1946 would not have received it's BCU. Perhaps 1946 just has another BCU, what is there to back the theory of it having 426's BCU? ;)

Edit: Just spotted 1946 on TransitTimes. It is about to commence the 17.23 B10X towards Magill. Hope that solves any confusion! :)

1720's showing up on Transit Times as doing that 155. It'll still seem weird for me to catch what presumably would be a dull boring CB80. Port should actually make an effort to get this errors corrected as soon as possible, rather than have certain member of the public confused.

Good to know that 426 is still in service though.

Yep, just saw that myself. 1720 is in fact 1943 with an old BCU, still yet to be reconfigured. 426 is on the following outbound 155 to West Lakes :)

426 showed up on TransitTimes as 426, no unusual numbers appeared to confuse us :P

I didn't get a look at the driver, but I physically saw 426 on that 155. 426 showed up on TransitTimes as well, as others have confirmed.

The really funny thing about all of this is that I did the first half of that broken shift in 1946.
But it was a broken shift with just over 4 hour break so no way that Transit Times would have got confused between the two halves of the shift.

424 has now been retired, on the dead track ready for its trip to Morphettville. 1947 is kitted out ready to go into service, I would assume on Monday. 422 continues to live on.

I won't miss this one given it's complete lack of any proper maintenance for at least 3 years.

And another new Scania CB 80 delivered to Port depot today and it looks like 429 has been retired as of last Friday.

Speaking of retirements, has 897 been withdrawn? I've been trying to find it during the last week looking up everything including 580s, 350s etc and it hasn't showed up on Transit Times at all. I've seen almost every other Mile End SL202 at some point except this one. How can I confirm it's in service is there's no visual evidence whatsoever?

I've rang Mile End and apparently it's on the road according to the help desk, but I think 443 on the track is probably easier to find.

It showed up in the real time feed on Friday. If that's right, 897 did a 286 to the City passing stop 1 Port Rd at 15:37, and later a 190B to Mitcham passing stop 1 King William Rd at 18:12. Didn't see it on there this afternoon, though.

I physically saw 897 on the 1:06pm J1 to Glenelg yesterday, after seeing it show up on that run on TransitTimes. I don't see some buses for weeks if not months at a time, so if it hasn't been reported as retired somewhere on this forum, assume it's in service but simply being elusive. Shame I was too busy to spare the 2 hours for a round trip on 897 on that J1, not that the driver would've gone more than 60 kph based on the real-time info showing it taking 10+ minutes to get from the airport to Harbour Town and vice-versa.

That's a real shame. 442 was one of the better ones in my opinion, and it didn't seem like it was in a particularly bad condition when I last caught it, which may have actually been on its last day in service.

Has NL202 2218 at Edinburgh north been retired? It's no longer listed in the fleet lists for some reason. Just thought I'd ask here instead of starting a new thread.

Just did a quick search of the forum. Turns out it was having major mechanical issues a few years back now, probably related as to why it's been withdrawn. Motor and gearbox didn't sound too good apparently :?
