On the Adelaide Metro website details of the new timetables, coinciding with the opening of the revamped Tonsley line including 600 park"n"ride spaces at Clovelly Park.

Timetable can be downloaded electronically, but printed timetables will be available next week.

They get their semi-express trains. Tonsley has gained a later service at night with a 7pm service. Last service was at 6:35 on the previous timetables.

Why aren't there trains to Brighton any more? When trains were running to Brighton, it allowed Noarlunga trains to theoretically run express to Brighton and then all stations to Noarlunga The travel time to Seaford is almost an hour at the moment, and it could be brought down to under 45 minutes if these services were brought back.

And besides, you wouldn't have the hear the loud 'please mind the gap when alighting from the train' message as much (which must get annoying to passengers after hearing it 15 -30 times).

General consensus is there are not enough railcars and drivers at present, hence no night/weekend services and limited daytime services on the Tonsley line. Seaford trains must do the bulk of the work for most stations to/from the City as there is not enough rolling stock to run two trains at once (one to Brighton, one to Seaford) while still providing 15 minute services (7.5 minutes in peak).

If the EMU deliveries would run to schedule....
