I haven't been on Grand Junction Road in several months, but it seems like a fairly recent change to me. Maybe it happened in January with the timetable changes, or as a part of the recent changes to bus stops on various roads?

I just checked the 361 route on TransitTimes, and there are indeed a lot of stops with new suffixes. As a guess, I'd say the changes were made to avoid any confusion about which stop was which, as the previous numbering system meant that there were duplicates of several stop numbers on Grand Junction Road. It only really made looking those stops up on TransitTimes confusing as far as I'm concerned, but maybe it was a bigger problem for other people.

Changed as part of the January 2017 timetable updates. I think there was issues from a customer point of view too - i.e. "I'm at stop 29 Grand Junction Rd looking for xyz bus", and you can immediately see the confusion passengers and customer service staff face!
$2,500 fines for vehicles illegally using red Bus Only lanes - could cut the state's debt real quickly if they extended that to regular Bus Lanes!

I recently moved to a new area in the Port Adelaide Enfield Council.

I am rather impressed with their community bus service. 3 times a week, every hour from 9am to 4pm, a bus comes past and services a fair few local facilities.

What other councils have decent community buses still?

I'm interested to know, does anyone know what's happened to 1641 & 1642 since their withdrawal? I reckon they'd have to be one of my favourite Admet buses of recent times.

If they're not sitting around one of TT's depots, then they've probably been scrapped...

Shame if they have been, I maybe would've thought they'd go to a private operator perhaps in WA if not here

Sorry if this is obvious to some but what kind of buses were they?

Ooh I remember them. They were some of my favourites too. Thought they were too nice to be scrapped even though it was inevitable haha

They were too old to be used as charter buses here, and being on CNG seriously limits their potential for resale anywhere.

One of them, can't remember whether 1641 or 1642, had a car run into the back of it causing considerable damage and it never went on the road again after that. Wasn't much use to anyone except as scrap.

I'm not sure if anyone knows but when would the next timetable changes expect to be released? And if so any idea what could happen? Thanks

I doubt there will any until the obahn project is complete, whereby there will be some changes to Obahn routes. There might be timetable changes to routes servicing Bedford Park area to improve on time running on many routes. Might be some changes in Andrews Farm too as there are new homes being built west of Andrews Road by the Curtis Road freeway interchange , also Penfield Eyre is getting a shopping centre with supermarket and other shops.
Next station is Victoria Square. Change here for all trains.

In my opinion, adding any time to the current G10, 200(B), or W90 timetables would just cause more early running, and more dawdling. I have already seen plenty of Newton drivers sit on 30kph in open 60 zones. It wouldn't really improve road safety if this become 20 or 25kph. Surely 60-70 minutes to get to Marion from the city at 5PM is sufficient....

I know the latter doesn't serve Flinders, but it's stil revelant to the topic.

Light-City Buses on-time running on their North-South routes is the lowest just about every week compared to the other 2 operators.
The G10-G20-G21 routes seem to be the worst of their routes which to a large degree isn't helped by all the roadworks particularly South Road Bedford Park, Sturt Road, Flinders Drive and Ayliffes Road.
No amount of timetable adjustment will overcome this-it will be a fact of life for another 2 years until the Darlington upgrade is complete. Toward the end of next year the Tonsley line will become Flinders Link when it is extended to Flinders Medical Centre and Flinders University. This may result in changes to some of these and other services whereby passengers might be encouraged to use train to Tonsley or Flinders, then a feeder bus service to their destination.

I'm planning on riding a few routes tomorrow and I was just wondering what anyone would recommend for a route from Marion to anywhere? I know they are mostly all inner city runs but if there are any it'd be nice to know. Thanks

There are plenty of routes that start from Marion:

You could get the 645 and 646 done with in under an hour on a Saturday, assuming you catch the 646 first, and then the 645 which leaves Marion soon after.
241, 248 to city, which turn into a 202 and 203.
263 and 265.
There's also the G10, 200 (no 200B on weekends), and obviously the M44
The 733 starts from Marion, and the 681 goes by there.
There's also the W90, but it's got a very loose timetable. Lots of laying over on the western portion.

I think I might do a 241 then a 202 and back home on the M44.

If you do that you will have to get from Ingle Farm to either get a bus to TTP or Paradise Interchange. If you catch a 248 it becomes a 203 in the City then goes to TTP.

I could certainly do that but that area is a little foreign to me. I might even do the 646 and 645 then when I get back to Marion catch a 265 to the city then any bus home

Not really an AdMet question but when I take photos of buses on my phone it says they are too large when I try to put them on ATDB. Is there a way to resize them or another way to fix this problem? Thanks

Does anyone exactly which CNG NL202s are at Mile End that are numbered from 1660 to 1668?

I suspect that 1660, 1665 and 1667 are all at Newton, going by obs, but the fleet lists says otherwise.

Find out what the ATDB guidelines are for image sizes and then search for an image resizer online. There are a few of them out there; http://www.resizeimage.net appears to have what you need based on a search I did.

1660-1668 frequently appear on both Mile End and Newton runs, but I don't know why those buses specifically are dispatched like that. It could be that Mile End covers certain runs that are on Newton shifts, mainly J1s in my observations.
