As foreshadowed in my current signature, I'll be in Adelaide towards the end of next week. I'm over for reasons other than gunzelling (namely, a wedding), so I'll only have one definite day - next Friday - to 'see the sights'. Given the changes happening soon, it will be a chance to experience the network before the upheaval.
So that I can plan ahead somewhat, I'm after answers to the following:
* Best chance of catching a Scania on the O-Bahn, and
* Best chance of catching 1350.
(These are two things that I want to check out while I'm there.)
Thanks in advance, and I might even bump into some of you there!
Headed your way...

Scania on the O-bahn is pretty easy - there are 24 of them in service so just stand at stop in the city and wait. From H1 is probably you best bet because all the track routes will stop there (further west and they are spread over several stops).Alex on the Bus wrote:As foreshadowed in my current signature, I'll be in Adelaide towards the end of next week. Just go to Grenfell Street H1/H2 in the pm peak. Guaranteed you'll get one from there.Alex on the Bus wrote: * Best chance of catching a Scania on the O-Bahn, and
I see it out on Payneham Road services in the morning a lot.Alex on the Bus wrote:* Best chance of catching 1350.

Welcome to Adelaide, Alex. Hope you enjoy your stay.
1350 can (theoretically) be rostered on any run operated by Camden Park depot. Considering that while you will be here is during School Holidays, it could end up doing anything, but I'll do my best to try and work it out for you. Lately it seems to be getting rostered to the same driver; regardless of their shift, but of course like anything in the transport industry; it's subject to change at short notice.

I would like to know where 1350 is as well, I still haven't seen it around, but thats probably because I haven't been in the City much in the last week or so and most of my gunzelling has been in the Outer North and Outer North East....
You got a real flash bus, but my one's flash one, eh
And I believe that my one's faster than yours, Mr Bond
'Cause mine's a red one'

1350 remained in the yard this afternoon; but was in traffic this morning.

Wow, Austranz, is this what you call a busman's holiday?? Are you driving for TT or doing some work preparing for the new routes and timetables from 15th October, given the dates you are working for them? Probably just as well you're not working for them on 15th, or worse 16th with workers back to work and schools back after the hols, when the sh!t will surely hit the fan.I'll be in Adelaide doing some work for TT from the 7th to 14th
