'H Type' trams Not To Stay

Post by axyale »

I do believe i heard correctly when they said the new flexility trams came into sevice they will keep 5 'H type' trams running on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays!

In this weeks Gurdian Messenger it clearly said that these 5 trams will continue service until the end of September which they will hen be sent ot there new homes!

I thought we were promised for these trams to stay and run services!

Anyone know anything more abou this?

Chances are the Murdoch Press have simply got it wrong, or worse still, fudged the truth to spark anti-Labor hysteria.

I would suggest that you re-read the article; it says:
Guardian Messenger wrote:Five trams that are being kept by the State government for use on weekends and public holidays will be used sporadically on weekdays until about late September.
It says that their time operating on weekdays is limited, and nothing about the weekend. Today was in fact their last regular working; the trial, extra tram implemented by TransAdelaide; departing Morphett Rd at 8:10 and arriving Victoria Sq at 8:30 was the 'H' type's last regular jaunt; however the trial finished today. Having said this, they haven't been spotted on weekend services since the beginning of the month.

Don't the Trams run a different schedule in the warmer months though? It could be that the Flexicities are sufficient for the winter schedule and the H-Class will come back out which the schedule changes?
