Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2020
What's the use of 3 B8s at Eagle Farm?
they are using those new B8s for QUT shuttle and replacing the older b7s that are used on the shuttle services. the B8s will be getting wrapped in QUT colours in next few weeks .

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2020
There will be changes in the next few weeks where at least one significant route will change depot.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2020
Hi all. Eagle Farm our now doing blue gliders as all gliders have been, transferred to the Farm. Also Garden city are now do Route 66 with their MAN artics.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2020
That was the big change. Blue Glider moving to Eagle Farm in preparation for running bendy buses.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2020
Yeah I saw E2824 running around the city yesterday. I am getting kinda confused as well because apart from the remaining Scanias left in service, Toowong has the oldest buses so it seems strange that new B8's went to Eagle Farm when apart from Garden City, Toowong could use some more B8's for the retirement of 18.310's. Overall, it is great to have new buses in the Western Suburbs as I use them every day so it is a great investment from the Brisbane City Council.l94scania wrote:Hi all. Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2020
When the Blue Glider is converted to bendy buses the rigid buses will go back to Toowong.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2020
Aren't BT suppose to be installing driver barriers on the 18.310s similar to those seen on the B7s/B8s/B12s? Since hearing about it I have yet to see any 18.310s with it installed so I wouldn't know for sure if they are installing them or have abandon them all together.

They did install them, I have seen lots with them. But since most are being withdrawn I think there's no point

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2020
Most of the 1200s no doubt. But if they are being installed how come none of the high 1300s, 1400s or 1500s have the barrier yet?BT Enthusiast wrote:They did install them, I have seen lots with them. But since most are being withdrawn I think there's no point

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2020
I know just about all of the high 12s and low 13s have them, but I rely on Toowong buses so I don't know about the other depots.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2020
My current list of withdrawn gas MANs is 1200, 1203, 1204, 1205, 1206, 1207, 1208, 1209, 1211, 1238, 1241 and 1280.daveeyh wrote:There are about 10 gas MANs parked in the rear lanes at Eagle Farm - very difficult to identify which ones as the fleet numbers have all been been diligently removed.
I have been able to identify 1200, 1208, 1238 and 1241 as being four of them.
I suspect there may be more as I have not seen 1212, 1214, 1221, 1223, 1232, 1256, 1285 and 1312 in service for a while - can anyone confirm whether these buses are still in active service or not?
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2020
I work in Milton so I can keep an eye out for the missing ones, just keep me updated if you see any you haven’t seen yet.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2020
So why is 2888 in service when 2887 is at Volgren? And on the same topic, I have not seen 2881 yet in service while I have spotted 2880, 2882 and so on...
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2020
I have seen 2881 in service a couple of weeks ago - from what I hear, it is going to be a QUT shuttle bus so it may be getting it's wrap at the moment as QUT semester starts on 24 February 2020.BT Enthusiast wrote:So why is 2888 in service when 2887 is at Volgren? Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2020
Just noticed that some new B8RLEA are coming. Where will they be allocated?

Hey megumi Eagle Farm. they will be using them for their Glider Services
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2020
There are a total of four new B8Rs delivered to Eagle Farm (E2880-E2883), and the AOA for QUT previous generation B7Rs (E2055-E2057) have been removed. I am wondering whether all four new buses will get wrapped in QUT livery or only three of them will do that.daveeyh wrote:I have seen 2881 in service a couple of weeks ago - from what I hear, it is going to be a QUT shuttle bus so it may be getting it's wrap at the moment as QUT semester starts on 24 February 2020.BT Enthusiast wrote:So why is 2888 in service when 2887 is at Volgren?
