This is germane to the problems of Port Phillip Ferries in the Yarra, and an intransigent port authority.

Brisbane River vessel speed limits is 40 knots unless it creates a marine incident, with the exception of the Town & South Brisbane Reaches between Story and William Jolly (Grey St) Bridges is 15 knots. Have often kept up with the cats along Coronation Drive at 60Kmph.
