Qld teens threw concrete at bus: police

Police are reviewing CCTV footage to identify two teenagers who hurled lumps of concrete through the window of a north Queensland bus, endangering dozens of lives.

A paver and tile were thrown from the side of Ingham Road, Townsville, and shattered a window of a passing bus full of passengers.

Northern Region Acting Assistant Commissioner Paul Taylor said it was lucky nobody was hurt or killed in the incident on Saturday night, which highlighted the need for some parents to take more responsibility for their children.

"What I'm asking is for parents to take an interest in their kids and what they're doing especially when they're roaming the streets at night," he told AAP.

Murrays are now advertising services beween Toowoomba and Brisbane Airport, via Roma St. 3 round trips daily.

Not sure when this started. Does anyone have info on what buses are used?

^ Noticed a Murrays bus yesterday leaving Roma st with Toowoomba on the desto and thought that was odd, now I know why. It was just one of there standard 12.5m coaches

403 was broken down at pacific motorway southbound at reedy creek this morning, the hazards had been placed behind the broken down bus.

Who would want to travel on the Caboolture line? These incidents and the resulting chaos are becoming all too common.

Its not just the Caboolture line, a while back there was an incident on the Beenleigh Line. Walked from my house across the tracks to go to Woolies to get some things Coles doesn't sell and then comming back got told by the cops that I couldn't go that way.

Ended up having to walk the very long way around, luckily I knew where to go.

Saw Surfside's new XDi 383 standing at Ashmore Tafe on a Southport-bound route 742, shift number from what I remember was 3083, could be wrong but I'm pretty sure 3083 is correct. Nice seeing the new white desto on a XDi with full translink livery.

Noticed today that most of Surfside's Ernest Mobitec LED buses now have enlarged route numbers (I'm sure this is going to follow suite with the other depots), but does anyone know why this has happened?
