Just interested when you mean they are coming back as Yutongs, what you mean by that, are the going to be re-powered or using the Scania bodies.

The ones been sent for scrap are already gone and are coming back as Yutongs. There are another 9 in the line up to go soon, what are they/you after?
700, 740 and 792 were parked at Scania at Pinkenba today.

Three Scanias on Manheim's auction list for today - 716, 743 and 785. Both 716 and 785 have been there before - 743 for the first time.

They are all back on the Manheim site listed for auction on 12 October 2016 - once again, the Scanias look unsaleable.

Bids Started at 2000. But only one bid was placed on each.

I realise that it may be Commercial In Confidence, but do you know how far off the reserve price was the $2 000 bid?

With the Scanias continuing to be nearly impossible to offload, maybe BT needs to take what that they can get.

743 has now disappeared from the Manheim site - maybe a belated sale?

716 and 785 were the only units listed on Manheim for auction today. Wonder if they got sold this time...

I note that BTBuses has 727, 732, 733, 734 and 736 moving from Virginia to Garden City - I did see the last four today on G routes but still with V's attached.

A little odd that 725 is still at Virginia.

Are G losing any buses or is it just a case of Virginia running out of space?

There haven't been any withdrawals recently so I guess BT are now keeping the Scanias active (they can't sell them anyway) but using them more sparingly (the whole fleet is getting bigger but there are no new services).

Does anyone know what happened to 798 and 826? Both are listed as Withdrawn on BTBuses but I haven't seen them on Manheim for sale as yet.

Thanks BT-Otto.

I haven't seen 686, 769, 771, 779, 781, 788, 794, 820 and 828 in the past couple of months - wondered if you knew whether any of these have been withdrawn?

I've seen V736 on the 590 today. Also v826 which was withdrawn at Virginia for months has disappeared with what looks like 743 in its place. Need to confirm when next in the area.

What is "CNG Diesel"?

Surely it's just CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) or Diesel?

Saw 826 this morning pulling away from Roma Street Platform 1.
moreton wrote:Seems a few are being fixed up to keep them going a bit longer. Moreton
Why bother fix them up?

At the end of last year, there were 1186 buses in the BT fleet (by my count). Today there are 1215.

So there are 30 more buses in the fleet but no more services - seems a waste of money fixing up the Scanias as there are more than ample buses in the fleet to cover current services.

Anyway, any idea of the fleet numbers coming back?

The Manheim site has eight Scanias listed for auction next Wednesday (09.11.2016).

716 has been on the auction list for a few months.

755, 769, 771, 779, 781, 788, 798 are listed for the first time - 798 is the only one that is listed as Withdrawn on BTBuses so there are six new withdrawals.

These buses still have V''s attached so I assume they are only temporary transfers.
