Are the Scania's listed on the BT Buses site as "Withdrawn" permanent withdrawals (631, 685, 698, 715, 717, 759, 777, 783) or just in storage?
Some Scanias (e.g. 754) were listed as Withdrawn but have appeared back in service.
Haven't seen them go to Manheims for auction (although there may not be much call for CNG buses).
Or are they being stripped for parts?
I haven't seen 713 and 737 for some time - anyone know if these buses are to return to service?

The ones listed as Withdrawn are buses which have had their registrations cancelled - therefore they are effective withdrawn from service.
Not sure what the council's official position is with them but they must be bad to warrant cancellation of rego.

Do they still have their DCU's? Do they look like they are headed for the scrapyard?Salisbury532 wrote:737 and others are parked at Sherwood depot.daveeyh wrote:Are the Scania's listed on the BT Buses site as "Withdrawn" permanent withdrawals (631, 685, 698, 715, 717, 759, 777, 783) or just in storage?

None will be scrapped; they'll be sold at Manheim.

Sometimes the rego is cancelled if a bus is off the road for prolonged periods I.e waiting on parts.

That really is my point - 754 was listed as Withdrawn but it has come back to life, so the others might also have a re-birth.racingnathan wrote:Sometimes the rego is cancelled if a bus is off the road for prolonged periods I.e waiting on parts.
With the DCU's being replaced on buses at present, if the old DCU's have been removed but not replaced on these Scanias, then it would be a pretty good indication that they are not coming back.
