I actually read the full article a number of years ago.
Some horrific details and photo's about the accident but you find that with
most articles in this police publication.
I always recall a term the writer used in this article to describe the injuries to
some passengers who were on the skid side on the coach " The bodies were gravilised"

Basically came down to poor welding/contamination by MCA with the building of their
own chassis and I believe was the start of the demise of the original company after
most MCA chassis vehicles were recalled. I believe this one was a single axle MCA.
There was a lot of MCA's sitting in coach yards for some time waiting for inspections
and replacement parts.

The vehicle belonged to a very respected coach family operation with wife driving at
the time.
A sad day for everyone including the industry.

Quick comment on this story.
Driver was definately not the owners wife. M.C.A Definately did not organise any recall , however most state authourity groups grounded all M.C.A'S until crack testing was performed on the nominated vehicles and produced to the relevant registering authourity. All work performed was at the owners exspense.
