Sherwood Depot opening - Fleet Changes and Observations

A few pre change observations I made today...

- Sighted several ex Garden City MAN Gassies doing Willawong work.
- Sighted G1803, so Garden City are receiving some early series Volvo B7RLE's.
- Sighted a whole bunch of Lemons and Metroliners at Sherwood Depot ready for work on Monday.

To add to the pre-change observations.

I've noted some Toowong MAN gassies doing South Busway work (111s, 160s, etc) this afternoon on the drive back up north.

Also sighted a few Garden City metros heading towards Sherwood on the freeway with the Gs removed.

Went past Sherwood depot today and noted S230, S281, S507 and S5120.

Also went past Toowong depot and noted T316 and T319.

Larapinta has always been my favourite depot. Have all the withdrawn buses down the back disappeared yet?

As far as I'm aware, I believe so. Siphoned off to either Willawong or other places.

Also forgot to mention that I saw a 1330 series MAN Gassie with G's on it.

Noted new addictions to the Garden City fleet

669 - 675
1801 - 1805
1329 - 1348
Tags go up to the high 5090's now, highest numbered bus I seen was 5095.

1358 - 1368 are now at Willawong

Not sure if 5001 - 5008 have gone to either Sherwood or Carina but they are no longer at Willawong.

From observations this morning, Bowen Hills has received a number of Metroliners from Garden City (e.g. 332, 333, 336) and from Richlands (e.g. 324, 325).

Bowen Hills looks to have lost some B10L's to Sherwood (e.g. 566).

R221 is now S221.

Also can confirm S5001.

I am on A325 at the moment the top still have R tge bottom and inside have A.

A311 operating western routes with the A scrubbed out. (T or R).
T1337 is G1337 (the 'leet' bus has gone home).

676 and 677 both at Garden City.
544 and 545 both at Sherwood.
1801 still at Carina.
564 at Sherwood.

Sherwood have picked up quite a lot of Cavendish Road work which has replaced Larapinta's and a lot of Willawong's work. Most District Routes seem to be operated by the same depot that operated them before the changes today (except ex Larapinta District Routes).

Does Sherwood have the facilites to be a gas depot, I am curious?

Interesting to see that Virginia has lost 9 buses in this transition - did they have an oversupply of buses or have they downsized the number of runs?

And I saw 545 today with an S on it - looks like it is back on the road from the Training School.
