ACTION In Review (2011) Part 4-Mitchell Diversions

On the morning of Friday 16 September 2011, a fire broke out in a Mitchell warehouse causing chaos in north Canberra. Originally no buses were allowed north of Lake Burley Griffin, with all Belconnen Depot buses ordered back to the depot for around an hour or so. Unfortunately I didn't photograph the diversions on the Friday as they chopped & changed as the situation changed, & while I was given this unexpected leave* I was going to enjoy things. The following few days I did snap these though:
Bus 378 (MAN 18.310) was diverted off the normal route of Flemington Road & is seen heading to the City via Barton Highway.
Bus 433 (MAN 18.320) is seen heading down Well Station Drive instead of heading through Mitchell to go to Franklin.
Bus 808 (Renault PR100.2 MkI) was also stopped from heading down Flemington Road & was sent down Randwick Road to the Barton Highway & Gungahlin Drive to rejoin Flemington Road via Mitchell.
