Canberra Region Transport Show 2011

On the 1st May 2011, Canberra's Transport Industries Skills Centre hosted an open day (http://www.suttonroad.com.au/tisc_flyerpdf.pdf). A few local & national companies as well as vintage & classic cars, here are some photo's.

Deanes Transit Group had Buses 133, 266 & 21 (pictured above. Bus 21 is a Hino RN8J & the 2nd newest of the DTG Queanbeyan Fleet.

ACTION was offering laps of the TISC track in Bus 471.

While Bus 472 sat at the other end with a SNT Bus. Both Buses 471 & 472 are Scania K320UB's.


Meanwhile, ACTION Buses 754 & 780 were on offer for the public to drive around the TISC track.

The Snowy Hydro SouthCare helicopter was also out for display & rides. A few hours after this event, this helicopter was used for a patient transfer to Canberra Hospital.

It looks like it was an intersting day, the K320UB's look very nice :D Would have been worth a look had I have been in Canberra :roll:

Just noticed 471 has the newer style/reissued style of plates whereas 472 has the older style red - more correct plates.

I recall 334 had the maroon plates just as the bike racks started being put on, yet no other buses at the time did.
