Progress Report: 670

Post by Lemon »

Over the weekend the bus was painted into a hybrid ACTION livery, here are the pictures I took on Saturday. Between the two of us (at times three) I think it was a pretty good effort to get this much done.

After we finished painting on Sunday we took it for a drive, pictures later, you may have seen it around.... anyway, onto the pictures.

The Ex-ACTION Fare Boxes are really hard to find. Every now and then one will come up on Ebay, but that is from experience where one or two have popped up in the last 7-8 years. We could probably fashion a replica, of crap quality, but better than nothing.

Did this bus get re-skinned or just rubbed back, primed and painted again? Just on a curious note, we the Tasmanian Bus and Coach Society are looking to give #134 a respray back to original livery wich is basically what is at now minus the green skirt I was wondering what it would approximately cost to respray a bus?

Shouldnt be much work to spray the bottom white and bring the green stripes down going by the photos of original livery I have.

It is getting a respray in the next week or two with some better quality orange paint.

And after a slight....incident whilst visiting an ACTION depot the white panel where the corner window should be has being replaced with a corner window.
