Interesting pictures, but getting off topic for a bit, I find it ironic you go to great lengths to stress copyright etc on your pictures, yet at the same time your website and the styling you use in your copyright notices is copied/based on those used by Cityrail. So a bit of a double standard me thinks.
Re: Scania K320UB - 14.5m
I am wondering what is this "Joint Transport Industry Dinner" is all about?

There are some videos about the launch on this youtube channel... http://www.youtube.com/AustRailAssocMoving People > Solutions for a growing Australia is the title of the report and national plan released and presented to Transport Minister Anthony Albanese on 9th March in Canberra.
The report, commissioned by the Australasian Railways Association (ARA), Bus Industry Confederation (BIC) and the International Association for Public Transport (UITP), outlines a seven point plan that will require all levels of government to act decisively and cooperatively in order to overcome critical problems such as traffic congestion and greenhouse gas emissions.

We are getting 26, none are in service as of yet, drivers are yet to be trained on them, we currently have 2.

Best of luck with the RESTRICTIVE 14.5m buses. What is the seating capacity (55)? No replacement for artics. Too restrictive, too small (pax cap). At least you got decent powertrains. The 14.5s in Tassie are only L94UBs (260hp)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't all L94UB 6x2s sold in Australia fitted with the 300hp DSC9 engine?Tas Bus Nut wrote:Best of luck with the RESTRICTIVE 14.5m buses. Re: Scania K320UB - 14.5m
AFAIK, the motors in our 14.5s are the SAME as our 12.5s BUT upgraded to 260hp, whereas the 12.5s remain 230hpPoweredByCNG wrote:

I'm only going by what I'm told by mechanics @ Metro and those in the "know". THEY ARE DEFINATELY NOT 300hp

Re: Scania K320UB - 14.5m
Same applies to the artics. They were fitted with 260hp as standard, 300hp as an optional extra.Tas Bus Nut wrote:AFAIK, the motors in our 14.5s are the SAME as our 12.5s BUT upgraded to 260hp, whereas the 12.5s remain 230hp
There's only one way to find out whether you've got 260hp or 300hp and that's by looking at the engine identification plates.
BTW, I would take a 260hp or 300hp DSC9 before a 320hp DC9 Euro 5 any day of the year!

If you look at his site, e.g. http://www.railgallery.info/portfolio/action.html you'll see he actually sells his photos to operators etc for marketing material and so forth, so he would need to be more stringent with copyright than your average amateur photographer.skystar320 wrote:nice pics and FYI your copyright page is not working... broken link or something.

Exactly, You don't just want any ol' bus manufacturer or D grade tourism site using your photos without credit!CB80 wrote:If you look at his site, e.g. http://www.railgallery.info/portfolio/action.html you'll see he actually sells his photos to operators etc for marketing material and so forth, so he would need to be more stringent with copyright than your average amateur photographer.skystar320 wrote:nice pics and FYI your copyright page is not working... broken link or something.

I just wish we could all get along like we used to in Middle School, I wish that I could bake a cake made of rainbows and smiles and we'd all eat it and be happy.
