Here are some photos from today, after looking at the cloud cover this side of the runway was not too bad (Normally at that time of day, heavily backlit) to grab some shots.

Image
VH-VNC and A320-200 is seen on finals to Runway 35, 3 out of 6 aircraft for tiger were on the ground in Canberra at the one time (They used to only have four, another 2 have popped up)

VH-TJL 'Swift' s Boeing 737-476 is seen ready for takeoff on Runway 35. The building behind is a new building, recently finished as apart of Brindabella Business Park

Image
VH-TJW 'Strahan' a Boeing 737-4L7 is seen landing at Canberra, runway 35

Image
A Challenger CL600 from the RAAF, tail number A37-003 is seen on Finals for Runway 35

Fantastic images! I should be out of the Australian War Memorial after 5pm to get some photos of the buses.

Why does the Renault bus have a MACK written on it?

Good shots of the planes btw :D

I find the "city views" of the business park buildings in the plane photos rather amusing ... it is Canberra after all.

Well, MACK Trucks Australia was an importer of the Chassis as far as I am aware. You will see a MACK Trucks Australia plate next to the Renault Vehicules Industriels plate.

The PR100.3a's are also badged as MACK, Which I believe is to do with politics more than anything (The MACK Badges are slowly disappearing off the 100.3's which is disappointing).

The buildings really make something of the airport, with our little terminal and such!

Good pics out at Canberra Airport, the tiger airways signwriting looks great and I think it is a shame that the MACK badges are being taken off some of the 100.3's at the moment.

Why bring up an old thread which is over a year old?
