ACT Rural Fire Service RIV 21

Post by TP 3000 »

As of Thursday 23 July 2009 ACT Rural Fire Service Light Tanker RIV 21 was decommissioned. This light tanker belonged to Rivers Volunteer Bushfire Brigade. It is due to be replaced with a Medium Rigid Tanker sometime in August. RIV 21 is currently out at the ACT Rural Fire Service headquarters at Fairbairn Park.

Here is a picture of RIV 21 at Rivers Volunteer Bushfire Brigade Station

I am not sure who is building the new vechile, but if a ATDB Member is a part of this maybe we could get a sneak peak.

8 new medium tankers will be handed over to the ACT RFS on Wednesday morning. The media will be there doing there thing & I'll hopefully be there as well & grab a few shots.

It is a private location so only special people are invited.

You'll fit right in then......

I am going to guess anything modified by Varley. Good to see some new equipment being purchased for the RFS and also the ACT FB.
