A Day with 389

Post by Lemon »

Yesterday I spent most of my day on this bus, 389 is ACTION's newest bus and I have a collection of 8 pictures from all over Canberra.

First here it is at Fraser after the completion of a Route 313

The left hand side

The drivers console

Panel damage to the rear of the right hand side.

at Tuggeranong after completing a 313
Image
A quick visit to the decommissioned Theodore Terminus while doing a Route 11
Image
At Woden while the driver was on a meal break
Image
At Woden before commencing a Route 2 to Dickson, the desto was yet to changed

and finally at Dickson after that Route 2

Is it just me, or are these photos not showing?

At the moment I am having some issues, if anyone can tell me how to get a full sized photo up on flickr that would be great.

At this stage you can view the photos through my photostream at http://www.flickr.com/photos/zacmathes/

I saw the drivers console area of 389 and it looks pretty swish :P and I am interested to know what brand drivers seat are fitted to these new ACTION MAN's ? It doesn't look to be an ISRI seat fitted but I could be wrong.

Stunning photography, you've certainly come a long way. Keep up the top work! :D

Interesting to note that those MAN 18.310s ride so high, in the photos I've seen of the Volgren BT 18.310s, they don't appear to ride anywhere near as high as these do.

They are very comfy to kneel in when changing the desto, I can just imagine what sitting in them would be like.

Great photo's there. Some real Gems!

Same dash as fitted to the 18.310's at BT and also the NG313F's including TP-3001 with Transperth (Except 3001 doesn't have the 3 coloured lights on the left hand side). One would assume the seat is the same ISRI as BT's MAN's and Transperth's Merc OC500LE's have.
If it's not a ZF, take it back!

The seat is ISRI something. The 3 lights are. 'Passenger Stop', 'Disabled Passenger Stop' and 'Hammer Removed'.
