Douglas DC-3's are scarce these days in Australian skies but these two have been modified somewhat to become motor homes. The photograph of RNS-071 was taken by me at the 2002 Mildura Air show whilst VH-DAK was photographed by me in the vicinity of Tamborine Mountain [SE Qld] in 2006. Would I be correct in stating VH-DAK has the appearance of 'sitting on' International truck wheels and perhaps RNS-071 has the 'Chevrolet' hint about it!
I have not sited either of these DC-3 'airbuses' since, however.
