A Double Header on this tour

Seeing the very interesting series of Collins' Collection historic photos of those early Dennings in multiple numbers prompts me to add another, taken at the Roma St depot in Brisbane, very likely on an Easter Thursday afternoon, as no less than four Series 1 Dennings were loading.
The only coach I can recognize is the second unit in line, No 22.
This would have been circa 1961 or 1962 at the latest.

I wish to voluntarily correct a statement I made in this forum and perhaps elsewhere to the effect that Rex Law had been contractually associated in the early 1970's with Gordon Nuttall in the transport of antimony ore from a mine under the operating name of "Nuttall" which I had stated was one and the same entity.
I have found this was not the case and Gordon Nuttall had no association with the Nuttall Nth Qld antimony mine, and any suggestion that Rex Law was owed any money by Gordon Nuttall is incorrect.
I unreservedly apologize to Mr Nuttall for this unintended misinformation.

Now and again I come across an interesting image or two that I don't think I've previously shared here.
The following two pictures of No 48 were taken on different 'Centre' tours in 1965 by safari captain Bert Abeles.

Scrapped at Redcliffe Qld about 30 rears ago.

I think Antony Winstone's attached photo solves which Redline Coach this was.

This is coach 55 which I had a drive of many years ago would anyone happen to have a colour photo.

I believe after Redline it went to Boomerang in BNE and then to outback QLD

That's a Vic Hayes photo - should be credited as such please

This photo cane from a person in Qld whom may have been with Vic Hayes on the day and I not sure whom's photo it is.

This early photo was found in Bing Photos at the old entrance to Ayers Rock can anyone advise the unit number in the Redline Fleet I think posed for the passengers

I believe this is a Geoffery Foster photo and was advised by an old timer in Sydney this was one of Redline's Coaches based in Sydney on NSW TV Plates may be Looselion can confirm this correct or not

Hi Industry,
This was Redline No 57, the very first r/e Denning build to feature side engine air intakes rather than an upper air scoop.
This unit was always on long distance work, never to receive a TV plate.
Disposed of to Alastair Grant of Maroochydore, then to Hagans of Toowoomba.
I believe she then went into the usual mobile home role.
Here's a photo of 57 when newly delivered into service, copied from Redline's 20th-anniversary newspaper lift-out in 1965:

BTW, regarding the previous post's reference to the change to side-air induction, this had the effect of providing extra seat pitch, thus extra passenger leg-room due to the absence of the internal vertical rear corner air ducts. Without the ducts, the rear seat could now be positioned further back, which allowed something like an extra valuable inch between each seat row.

Here's a tour inbound to the East Coast from Central Australia, crossing the Hay Plains in South-Western NSW.
Captained by John White..... I'm unsure of the coach's fleet number.
Apologies for the motion blurring, but I think it's a worthwhile image of that broad landscape back in the late '60's, still in the grip of widespread drought, as was Central Australia.

Looselion I understand your comments in the private email last week, just had a grump old man from Queensland and has a t shirt with that on it carrying on about the Hagan photo. This photo is posted with permission of Geoffrey Foster of and old Redline unit operating om the Qld Gold Coast, The retired Bus Operator down the street from me experience the same problem that the late Fred Carah did family members destroyed their old records and photos thinking no one would be interested in seeing them. His question is he believes this to be ex 42 or 43 based on the air vents on the front and personally think it be in the late 30's. If you could confirm the old fleet number to make a 90 year happy.

42 was a Commer and 43 a Ford. 68 is this one,later with Bob Warren at Stradbroke then with Southern Cross.
