Pete, thank you for those great photos whilst i did enjoy them immensely, its still not the same as having them right there and hearing that gentle purring away at idle. Or them positioned at high idle for the A/C. Then the sound of the releasing air of those rare type of park brake. And the burble of the take off through the gears.
I'll never forget my first drive and how i found they were great on straight roads mainly.

For me they're much like the propeller airliner era.....
The later stuff's all nice and efficient and lovely in a quite unobtrusive and beige kinda way, but nothing will EVER AGAIN compare with the attention grabbing visual and vocal character of these icons from the highways of the past.............

Where did all of our MCI MC 9s end up - I have seen that Driver Coachlines have rebuilt one - anyone know what became of the rest???

In the second last photo, to the right looks like the rear of a former Rowes Coaches mono - either TV 711 or TV 714 - formerly m/o 4111 and RR697 respectively.
