The first of 15 new Volvo B9R and B11R's which I believe will be badged as B340 and B430R's respectively seen in Brazil prior to shipping. These vehicles feature Irizar i6 bodywork.

A very impressive looking coach, sure to enhance the local 'scene' and consolidate Adams' top rating in the 4 and 5 star tourist market.
perthbus, do you happen to know the 'breakdown' in quantity between B9R and B11R units out of the 15 ordered ? (eg, 8 of 1, 7 of the other, or 9 of one, 6 of the other, etc.)
Are these coaches intended to expand the fleet, or as replacements for some 'older' machines ?
Also, is it likely that some will be fitted out and/or liveried as 'Gold Class' units, or will they all be in this (to me, very attractive) revised livery of two shades of blue plus white ? Reason I ask is that the upward slanting gold (not yellow) 'flash' on the side surely 'cries out' to be exploited / utilised in support of the 'Gold Class' branding, imho.
Needless to say, I understand that you possibly have limited access to such 'corporate information', or are constrained as to how much you can reveal on ATDB at this time. So, I'm only asking, with no pressure on you to reply beyond any 'boundaries' you may be subject to, so far as I'm concerned.

Hmmm ....ADX666 wrote:Colours a bit like the Transwa coaches,
Might Adams choice be construed as 'coincidental' or 'inspirational' or .... a portent of 'future aspirations' ??
