New buses at TT Mile End (something a bit different)
Hello everybody, after I recently read on here that a TNSW livery bus was spotted at Mile End depot, and being the inquisitive soul that I am, I went down there and had a look for myself... This is what I found. By the joys of a small camera with a big zoom, I was able to get these photos from the fence line. I am informed that these buses are intended to be used on rail subs. Enjoy the photos!

One of these was doing 99C this afternoon, but in all white (no pale blue) and no fleet numbers.

The one doing 99C today was numbered 1308, and unlike the ones pictured here, it had an LED desto instead of flipdot.

I suspect once the rail work finishes mid year they will head to Sydney and will then form part of TSA's new Sydney fleet to take over Region 3 (Westbus, Metro-link and Hopkinsons).stevegj52 wrote:Could they be using the rail sub work to trail the IVECO's ? just a thought

There seems to be two buses in Sydney Buses livery - are they both demo Ivecos??

Re: New buses at TT Mile End (something a bit different)
I'm not sure about them being demo models (apart from one of the white ones, which was previously demonstrated at Ventura in Melbourne and came over with a Myki reader), but the two in TNSW livery would be destined for Transit Systems Australia's Sydney contract area when they start running it. The white ones will most likely also head to NSW once the rail subs are finished. Here's a photo of 1310 taken today, as it was driving through the city on a W1 service...

In fact it is now a mandatory requirement for demonstrators within the greater Sydney contract regions.
