The Volgren has a Mobitec.
Re: New Volgren Scania 3230 & 3374 for Aldgate
Also fitted with Thoreb multiplexing.
To me with the material of the seats and the school lights it might be a stock unit. Looks like ATE are suppling their own buses again.

These might be some of the 26/27 extra buses that the Government are leasing on behalf of the 3 Adelaide Contractors!

I'm assuming that 3230 is a K280UB?

Why is there one odd seat in the Volgren?
Re: New Volgren Scania 3230 & 3374 for Aldgate
All newish buses have one or more red seats around that area which are designated as priority seats. Depends how many seats are at the very front of the bus, they could be the remainder of the red seats behind the camera.Artzy wrote:Why is there one odd seat in the Volgren?
Good to see Adelaide's first full side desto display, not counting 1353/1354 which only showed the route number on their full side display.

Hope no-one is offended by the regsistration plate on this bus!
Re: New Volgren Scania 3230 & 3374 for Aldgate
The Volgren has a nice rear end but the front looks a bit ugly... the small headlights don't help much in that regard.

This must be the first Volgren delivered to the AdMet group in the last few years? Seeing most of what I've seen from AdMet on this forum is CC bodied buses.
Thanks,

As I mentioned above it's most likely owned by ATE.

The AdMet livery looks great on this CR228L.

Updated photos of 3230
It can't be to long before it's out on the road.

I'm liking the side desto on it, it would be nice to see more buses with it.

Are the side mirror normally placed that low on AdMet vehicles? Good thing it's painted yellow!

The offside (drivers side) mirror's position does vary depending on the model of bus but the vast majority are in that location. I personally prefer the mirrors in that position; (again, depending on the bus model) mirrors placed high I find generate more blackspots than lower mirrors.

Sorry, I meant the nearside mirror on 3230, as seen in The Modeller's second set of photos. The mirror's been changed from the first set, and now hangs lower than how it was delivered.

3230 is now in service as from yesterday.
At the moment it's at Aldgate Depot.

Its just had the Metagal arm and mirror replaced with the Spafax arm and mirror. Obviously the Spafax arm hangs slightly lower than the Metagal one.VivalaBuses wrote:Sorry, I meant the nearside mirror on 3230, as seen in The Modeller's second set of photos.
