AdMet overload #5

Post by busrider »

Welcome aboard. This is a photo thread featuring Adelaide Metro buses.
Torrens Transit MAN SL202 CNG #1642, ex Brisbane City Council, driving around to start route 178. These buses were previously fitted with roller blind destos, which were replaced with Mobitec destos as the electronic roller blind proved to be too unreliable.

Torrens Transit MAN SG280H #1956 arriving in the city as a 287. Although not retired just yet, this one is next on the chopping block, and its remaining time left in Adelaide Metro service could possibly be counted in days.

Yes jarf, although I didn't take any notice of it, I believe you are correct. Tas Bus Nut, you are also correct, it is indeed a Volgren body. It was not one of the 100 SL202 CNGs originally purchased for Adelaide, it is one of two SL202 CNGs with Volgren bodywork which Torrens Transit purchased from Brisbane City Council.
