As much as I don't like the Optimus design, it is nice seeing the Optimus being built with different specifications/liveries etc for the different operators now as I am more use to the ones that Transperth have. Great to see the double leaf centre doors, although the lack of a rear route no/desto box is interesting...

So far they've mostly been all B7RLE. Although the few with Dysons in Victoria are Scanias. These ones with Clarks (LCBS) will be another Volgren product to go with 555 CBS and 556 CBS articulateds.

It also appears to have school bus flashers on the front of the bus, but not on the rear. I'd say they're also the only non LED lights on the bus.

Wow this looks awesome, can't wait to see it in service.

Shame they went with the ugly seat design though (fabric design, not layout). The lack of rear desto, seat behind the driver and the double rear door is very LCBS, opposite of BT. Very curious as to see what these'll be numbered.

Is it missing the V from the Volvo logo on the front already?

Looks fantastic.

I wonder how an OVLO goes, compared to a VOLVO?

Will these be working mostly 555 services. I rather hope not, I'd miss seeing the Bustech VSTs in Brissy.

Why the swirly garbage has to go over the windowline where there is no need is really beyond me - as is the lack of a rear destination sign which should be standard for ALL operators. Very schmick though.

Clarks have sensibly opted for dual-leaf side doors on all their purchases since around 2006 except for the STA/Forest spec rear door on their 2 CB60 artics.

Are these being kitted out for Trip Tracker?

They'll most likely just be put into normal service.

I suspect they will continue using personalised plates from withdrawn vehicles. 25, 26, 29, 30 and 31 are unused. There's also a number of Hino coaches hitting 20 years of service (24, 27, 32).

I'd like to see an Optimus with the seat trim that Mt Gravatt Bus Service uses on their coaches and most of their low floors (excluding the 18.320 CB80's).
Still waiting for a MAN SL200 to catch to school. Might be waiting a while....

I saw another Translink Optimus from the Gateway Mty today coming back from Gold Coast. It was painted and I'd say another one for Logan Bus Lines

Volgren Optimus 25 CBS and 29 CBS seen working on routes 550 & 560 on Sunday. Also seen 30 CBS during the week in Brisbane CBD on route 555 in the evening rush hour. The bright head lights and distinctive running lights make them easy to spot among all the other buses. Rode the 25 CBS from Loganholme to Browns Plains which was a smooth quiet ride. Interiors are nice- blue hand rails instead of yellow in BT Optimus. Roof Led strip lights in the interior full length of the bus. Plastic easy clean surrounds around the back seats. Front seats also have plastic surrounds, not sure if they are double or one and half seats wide. Fitted with the Trip Tracker screens like other Clarks buses. No Volvo badges back or front and seem to have been removed (Boss’s photos in depot) and just Volgren letters across the front

Nice looking units I must say. Why the breakaway from Bustech after such a long relationship??
