Nice work Luke covering the steam shuttles on such a bleak day. Adds to the effect though being cold and wet the loco's exhaust, nice!
Also love the trailing (GW end) loco driver giving an extra toot as he saw interested people about. Thumbs up! :D
Was the first vid of the K's climbing the big bank approaching Jordanville? Nice location and good video work mate.

These are W class stock built in the mid 20s. See here for more detail:

I don't know the history of the yellow line. It didn't seem to be there in the 60s and from then on until the end of service.

Another forum in the past has suggested it is an addition by Steamrail rather than original. The same suggestion was associated with the theory that it started when Steamrail acquired the carriages whilst similar carriages were still owned by the then Victorian Railways and successors. Steamrail needed a way that didn't detract too much from the traditional colour scheme to ensure their carriages were not used by mistake by the VR confusing them for VR owned rollingstock.

No doubt someone will correct me if they have a more definitive answer.

I completely agree with the comments made by Desto Dave. The video of it appearing around the bend at Heyington is my favourite but they are all awesome. Great to see and hear!!!
