Here's some shots taken this afternoon, on the eastern half of the route.


#636 (M.A.N. 16.240, Designline) seen here arriving Mordialloc.


At the Mordialloc terminus is #656 (M.A.N. 16.240, Designline)


Travelling along Mentone Parade in Mentone is #562 (M.A.N. 16.220, Designline).


At Oakleigh on a Heidelberg shortworking is #652 (M.A.N. 16.240, Designline)


#641 (M.A.N. 16.240, Designline) incorrectly displays "Essendon Station 903" at Oakleigh around 15:00 (this trip was going to Altona).


#654 (M.A.N. 16.240, Designline) at Chadstone.


#638 (M.A.N. 16.240, Designline) departs Box Hill.


Arriving Box Hill late afternoon on a Heidelberg shortworking is #905 (Scania L94UB, Custom). This bus is on loan to Oakleigh depot, and doesn't have Smartbus equipment fitted.


And for the highlight of my day, #813 (Scania L113CRL, Volgren) is seen here at Box Hill on the 17:15 Mordialloc - Altona service. This is very unlilkely to be a regular occurrence, as its one of the oldest low floors at Oakleigh, and isn't fitted with Smartbus equipment.


#813 again, this time at Westfield Doncaster just before 19:00. Many thanks to Mercedes for tipping me off that #813 was out on Route 903 this evening.

I love that many of the pics are brilliantly framed by the surrounding environment such as that vintage building in Mentone Pde, Box Hill I/C, Safeway etc. Keep up the good work.

Nope, using my usual Kodak point-and-shoot camera as always.
