Great photos and thank you too for the door-side photos - so rare to get these in the bus enthusiast world! However, I'm curious to confirm or not what I've heard that the Bustechs only have a single-leaf centre door(?).

It’s is true that the initial batch of both Volgren and Bustechs have single leaf centre doors, but it was later requested to be double leaf centre doors hence why in the picutres have the double leaf doors.

I suppose that double leaf doors are "better", but in reality it is difficult to get two people to cooperate and exit simultaneously. Perhaps needs a dividing railing?

Much the same at the front as people either tend to stand in the middle; or if they do keep to the right, they still want to use the left hand reader to tap on (in some buses the inner reader is on the left)

The main function of a double-leaf door is to produce a minimum of a "zipper" effect which could be described as at least 1.5, if not two people abreast and moves people through a door faster than single file. Any gain is an advantage for dwell time. All these things have been tested and measured to death in Europe for years so the benefits are well-proven.

They make the bus look more like a serious city bus that means business.
Great shots Inspector. I hope there will be a part two sometime. I like the inclusion of a bus back. Looks like my previous bus back shots have paid off. Two or more buses in the one shot would be sweet in any future edition.

I must say I like CDC's decision to get a divided windscreen. It may go against the modern trend but when you're running routes through feral-land it must reduce the cost of replacing a broken windscreen..

I think it's a smart idea too and I wouldn't have noticed if it wasn't pointed out.
