STA 85th Anniversary Bus Launch
Was present at a launch at Olympic Park last Thursday featuring all 12 STA buses wrapped in special 85th Anniversary liveries.
Originally some of the gunzels including myself were requested by someone (who I assumed was representing STA) to hold off posting our photos publically until the story featured a few days later on 7 news.
A small selection of photos are below
Lined up in front of ANZ stadium
2799 in red and cream, 2356 in WW2 camouflage, 2652 in green and cream and 2783 in Royal Visit
Attempting to get all 12 in shot
2651 in Sydney Olympic Bid wrap trailing the convoy over the Bennelong Bridge feat. random Orana

Re: STA 85th Anniversary Bus Launch
The more I stare at it the more I'm liking 2652 in the traditional green and cream on the Bustech body. Any other shots of that particular unit/colour scheme from different angles ?

What I have. Makes me wish I took more shots of the nearside of each.

Re: STA 85th Anniversary Bus Launch
I see what they've done, create an illusion of the body style of the era that the livery was on. Visible in the couple of shots above next to 2652 - the Royal Visit 2783 and the CB80 with a Mk 1 rear.

Re: STA 85th Anniversary Bus Launch
The Bustechs were a bit of a disappointment where they didn't continue the livery on the near side across the sloping windows.
Even the CB80 missed out on part of the "Leopard" livery on the near side.

Yes they look good and they should not loose the skin either after it winds up, hopefully the STA have spare skins for damage.
