Charterplus m/o 7619 Olympic Park

Post by Ben_Daui »

Observerd m/o 7619 parked on Dawn Fraser Avenue Olympic park this afternoon, took a picture as I walked past it going to get some food then on the way back to ANZ Stadium it was moved and parked across the road.
I like the Westbus livery has being kept on this bus and down the other end on Olympic BLVD some other buses were also used as barricades.

Certainly a much better livery than what replaced it, yellow with red reebok stripes and then plain yellow. And 7619 still looks good at 31. The old livery does live on with the UK operation. https://www.flickr.com/photos/16658324@N08/5812621658

In the first photo I was parked waiting instructions as to where to park it. The 2nd photo shows it parked where I was instructed. SOPA like that bus because it is the right length fopr where they need it.

Looks like a standard "2 axle 40 footer" to me could be wrong, it has been known to happen

I remember catching one of these on central coast rail replacement many years ago and how well it handled the high speed conditions on the F3 with it's ZF transmission compared to the 0405 with 3 speed Mercedes box screaming at 80km/h for 35 minutes on the way from Hornsby to Gosford.
What was the dispatcher at Westbus thinking sending a three speed 0405 out that day??
NSW, the state that embraces mediocrity.
